“In the medium term, no matter which Umno faction forms the government, we expect the momentum of reform to remain sluggish.

“Faction disputes may continue to lag when Malaysia’s electoral landscape is much more competitive than when BN remained dominant in Malaysia’s first 61 years of independence and reforms,” ​​the ratings agency said in a recent national research report. risk and sector.
