The Government of India is preparing to tie between Postal Payments Bank of India and WhatsApp. With this, many banking and financial services will be available. According to a report, the government wants to provide better service to customers through this.

With this, customers will not need to travel to the branch to perform essential work. The report cited people who are aware of this partnership. With this, users will have the option to consult account balances to open a new bank account.
India Post Payment Bank was launched in 2018. It is a public limited company in which the central government has a 100% stake. It was created as a payment bank under the Post Office.
It was informed in the report that the pilot project will run for 60 days. This includes IPPB services such as balance checking, opening a new account, and PIN or password verification. It was also said in the report that selected customers will get more service on this.
This service includes Cash Withdrawal and Deposits, Aadhar to Aadhar Transfer, PAN Number Update, and Manage Aadhar and Payee Account Number. India Post Payments Bank customers can access the service online or digital banking through IPPB website or mobile app.
