Does a Korean bride wear a white wedding dress?

  • Although Koreans have kept several aspects of the traditional ceremony, most modern ceremonies resemble western marriage ceremonies more than traditional Korean ones. However, some folk villages and museums across the country regularly perform ceremonies to keep the traditions alive. At the traditional Korean ceremony, the bride and the groom are wearing a full set of Korean Hanbok for the wedding.
  • For the family, mothers and older sisters wear Hanboks, while fathers and brothers wear business attire.
  • For friends, wearing business attire is normal.
